FIDDLER ON THE ROOF COSTUME GUIDE

UPDATE (as of 10/17):

•  Kelli is spearheading our DAUGHTER APRONS--give her and her team a BIG HUG!  
•  
•  MAMAS will have half aprons, and YOU should be busy finding sources for those.  WHITE OR CREAM colored preferable ...pale colors...no patterns.

•  Jewish men--scrap the idea that you need to go out and find a jacket.  If you have one in your closet that may work, great.  If not, we have decided that it is an unnecessary element...and possibly costly.  

• Bottle dancers, we are still looking into a long black robe/marriage coat for you guys.  Not only are you dancing together, you are holding the "chupah" (wedding canopy) together...so we really want to try for uniformity here.  We know Springhouse will rent these to us...stay tuned for cost.  :-\

• We have "prayer tassles" for all the jewish men. 

• Russian men, a few of you somehow didn't get the memo that you have to look Jewish for the DREAM SCENE.  Look at the costuming guide under "Papas"--Nutshell, you need: collarless shirt, vest, dark pants, hat. 

• Tevye will need a tallit kattan, pictured below (Susan, let me know if you need more guidance on this...Springhouse may or may not have one in supply for rent):
